Warner Springs

Sitting at the Warner Springs Community Center (mile 109). We did 24 miles yesterday, 30 the day before, and 28 the day before that. I’ll rarely do that much mileage this early on, but it makes logistical sense to get to reliable water sources (which are few and far between).

Picked up my first resupply at the post office and I don’t know what I’m going to do with a pound of siracha. Although, digging through the box and finding a 2 pound summer sausage was incredible. Just ate a double cheeseburger at the community center and about to get back on the trail. Legs feel good!

Water cache at mile 68. Thank you trail community! The guy that supplies this cache does incredible work to get water out to one of the most remote areas on the trail.

Boston

An appropriately named post marathon beer. It was a bit rough limping through the finish line area knowing I’m going to be hiking 20 miles in two days, I’ll manage. First race in over a year after I took a few months off for injury, incredible to be back (especially in Boston amongst 36,000 runners)! Hoping to gain 5 pounds in the next two days or so.
